Who are we?

My name is Neela and my sister/best friend, Bina, are co-founders of The Small Details. We are two ends of a stick, opposite poles of a magnet, and the north and south pole....you get the picture... but we complete each other. This also reflects in our work as creativity and technicality meet somewhere in the middle to bring out the best of us. Regardless of who does what, our goal is to make our client happy.

Where we are:

Client satisfaction has been our driving force over 20 plus years in the hospitality industry. Bina has always been decorating the professional spaces she has worked in - christmas trees, lobby bouquets, guests in-room welcome packages, not to forget the multiple times she has created return gift packages for friends wedding events. Many years ago, Bina organized a beautiful beach wedding in Florida of her beloved niece and worked with florists in decorating at various other events. Decorating has always been Bina's passion and when the opportunity presented itself to start her own business, well....she just couldn't resist! You might wonder where I fit in in all this - I'm the technical end of the stick....enough said.

How, what and why:

The opportunity came in the form of an existing event decor business that was phasing out. We bought the business with its remaining inventory and have been creatively building on it to bring fresh new ideas to our decorating. Our niche is backdrops, but we also do centerpieces and additional personalization. We like to work with fresh flowers, silk flowers, and paper flowers. We try to avoid plastic as much as we can as a part of our sustainability efforts! Our backdrops are pipe-n-drapes, shaped metal frames, wood frames, and anything else our creativity brings to mind. We enjoy the challenge to design, build and bring to life our client's vision with every small detail.
